A report (here) notes Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (who represents the Palos Verdes Peninsula) has endorsed Mitt Romney for president. Problem is that Rohrabacher is concerned about the border patrol agents, Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos, who are serving prison time for shooting a drug smuggler. Romney, of course, has made an issue out of the fact that he never issued a pardon during his term as governor. In the case of the border agents, the Republican presidential hopeful has said that he would "seriously consider a pardon or commutation." He has also added that there "may" have been "an abuse of prosecutorial discretion." Rep. Rohrabacher says that he has discussed the agents with Romney and is satisfied noting, "I respect the fact that he's a guy who's never pardoned anybody. That doesn't mean he won't pardon people as president of the United States."
