The President: Most Notable Prediction Yet

It was almost a year ago today that Brent Budowsky, a "pundit" for The Hill, wrote

... Knowing of these crimes more than our people or our system of justice, fearing the exposure that is ultimately inevitable, and well aware of the legal consequences I expect the president, on his last day in office, to issue a series of pardons that would include himself and the vice president. These pardons would include a list of those most legally vulnerable to the long litany of wrongs, done in secret, but destined for exposure ...
As far as PardonPower can see, it stands as the most notable prognostication to date. Although, the self-pardon was the topic of speculation in the administrations of Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Richard Nixon. Perhaps it would be fun to see which president was tagged with the notion first. See full editorial here.
