Georgia: One Last Hearing

The Effingham Herald reports Jack Alderman - who was recently granted a stay of execution - will get another opportunity to make his case for clemency before the State Board of Pardons and Paroles. The judicial order also claimed Alderman, convicted of a murder committed in 1975, "has not received the meaningful hearing with the Board required by law.” Meanwhile the Department of Corrections continues to prepare for the execution, scheduled for tomorrow evening.
