CNN reports Vice President Dick Cheney "sees no reason for President George W. Bush to preemptively pardon anyone who authorized or was involved in harsh interrogations of suspected terrorists." He added that waterboarding has been used with "great discrimination by people who know what they're doing" and produced much valuable information. As a result, according to Cheney, no one at the CIA did anything illegal during interrogations. They only followed the administration's legal opinions. Will this quell chatter about preemptive pardons? We think not! See story here and here.
