Jeffrey Hill was convicted of murdering his own mother almost 20 years ago. At the time of the murder, he was high on cocaine. Hill is now scheduled to be executed on March 3. But members of the Hill family will appear before the Ohio Parole Board and ask that Gov. Ted Strickland commute the sentence to life in prison. The request is also supported by two public defenders but is opposed by the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and Hamilton County prosecutors. See story here.
