The Sun Sentinel reports one William Potts has written a letter to President Obama requesting a pardon. Potts brought a pistol on board a Miami-bound flight in 1984 and diverted the plane to Havana. He then spent 13½ years in a Cuban prison for "air piracy." Potts now believes that he has paid his debt to society and insists that he is not a "terrorist." He also hopes a presidential pardon will allow him to take care of his parents in Atlanta. See story here.
