Illinois: Pardon for Fugitive?

The News Gazette reports that a high school track coach convicted of inappropriate sexual conduct with a female student may be seeking a pardon from Gov. Patrick Quinn. Yuri Ermakoz was given a 12-year prison sentence for having sex with a 15-year old girl and providing alcohol to two 16-year old girls. But Ermakoz, a Russian citizen, fled during jury deliberations. Assistant State's Attorney Troy Lozar says any request for a pardon "would carry a lot more weight if he ever showed up to address his sentence." See story here.
