WBBM Radio 780 reports that there are more than 2,500 clemency applications in the backlog which Governor Quinn referred to six months ago as "shameful." Although he has made 96 decisions (granting 46 pardons), Quinn has not made a single move for almost half of a year now. One person waiting is a 67-years-old and has been waiting "over 50 years." Quinn's office has released a statement saying the clemency process "remains" as "one" of his administrations "top priorities." See story here.
