Illinois: Support for Quinn

The State Journal-Register finds it "encouraging" that Gov. Pat Quinn is "not taking the same approach" to clemency as his predecessor, Rod Blagojevich. Why should Quinn continue to move "quickly" on clemency applications?
Because most businesses do background checks, even the slightest criminal record can make a difference in one’s job prospects. Most requests come from people out of prison looking to have their records expunged so they can get a job, but many involve people with a minor conviction in their distant past that continues to haunt their employment efforts.
Today, there are more than 1,800 requests pending from the Blagojevich years. See story here.

Mr. Ruckman,
As one who has been following your blog for nearly two years now, I must say, Im pleased by all the informative articles recently. Much better than the monthly articles of the past :)

I keep hoping to check one day, and see the article about Obama actually granting some pardons.

Mr. Ruckman,
Hahaha. Nice..! Well, I will certainly be following your blog to catch Obama's pardons... looking forward to the day, that phrase isnt oxymoronic :)

If O grants mine. I'll share my story with you. If for nothing more than to give insight, and or "hope" to others in the same situation.
