The Office, under the direction of U.S. Pardon Attorney, Ronald L. Adams, has made quite the mark when it comes to rejecting clemency applications. In FY 2008, 2,695 were denied - a record that no one seemed to notice. In FY 2009, 1,402 applications were denied.

Now, after more than nineteen months of zero grants, or denials (an apparent record for inactivity), a batch of denials.

I confirmed the numbers this morning. On Oct. 11, the president denied commutations in 605 cases and pardons in 71 cases. He made no grants. George Lardner

It has been 32 months and several interviews with the FBI and still nothing. Thanks to Pardon Power, I've been able to keep up with what's going on in Washington and throughout the country with this web site, but unfortunately nothing has been done either by the ones that we look up to in office. Till now, I haven't been denied of my pardon request either. All applications in DC seem to just be sitting in stagnant water. Hopefully President Obama will have a heart this upcoming holiday season to grant pardons to many who truly deserve it. If he doesn't do anything, how long must we all continue to wait for 'Change?' Next Presidency? Sad...

Thanks Pardon Power!
