A pardon from Christie is far from assured, even if he does have fairly established, conservative credentials.Christie has equivocated on the State's laws saying he supports "common sense laws that will allow people to protect themselves" (Who doesn't?), but he is also "very concerned about the safety of our police officers on the streets" and wants to "make sure that we don’t have an abundance of guns out there.” See full story here.

Brian Aitken was arrested in 2009 when the police found two locked and unloaded handguns in the trunk of his car. He was given a whopping seven-year prison sentence! Now the Daily Caller reports:
