Susan Winter, described by the Boston Globe as "a 49-year-old mother of three," became the first person pardoned in the seven year administration of Governor John Lynch and the first person pardoned in the State since 2003! The State's "Executive Council unanimously voted in favor of her clemency application and Lynch let the decision stand. Winter's felony conviction was almost three decades old, but she "tried fruitlessly to get a better job." See story here.
