On Thursday, Gov. Martin O'Malley signed an executive order commuting the sentence of Mark Farley Grant, who has claimed, for 29 years, that he is innocent. O'Malley also commuted the sentence of a woman who is serving "life without parole" for murder. It is the very first time O'Malley has used the power. The Baltimore Sun also reports that the Governor rejected 57other clemency applications. See full story here.
