It is reported that Governor Bruce Rauner has two pardons and denied 98 additional clemency petitions. It is also reported that Governor Pat Quinn left "approximately 800 petitions" on his desk at the end of his term. Both of the pardons were granted to person who had "recently undergone a criminal background check through the Illinois State Police’s Law Enforcement Agencies Data System."
